Residents of Littleton make good use of the city's light rail system, which provides fast access to the city.

Littleton has several distinct communities with beautiful homes and mountain views along the foothills. It has become a popular destination not only for working professionals but those who love to explore the outdoors.

Local Lifestyle

Littleton is well-known for its outdoor sports, ranging from off-road cycling to horseback riding. It's only a short drive from Denver, but it feels like a remote little town. Many residents are working professionals who prefer to live in a small town over a larger city like Denver. Locals spend time together doing things like swimming at the community pool, golfing at one of the surrounding courses, hiking on one of the many trails across town, or simply listening to live music at local pubs or restaurants.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Littleton has excellent shopping opportunities, including various shops and retail malls, such as Aspen Grove, which carries high-end brands like Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton. The historic downtown area features a picturesque Main Street dotted with quaint boutiques, eateries, and pubs. It is also a cultural hub with various art galleries and the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center, where you can catch a show.

The Crispy Crunchy Shrimp Sandwich at The Lost Cajun is perfect for lunch, brunch, or breakfast. It's one of the greatest places to eat in Littleton, known for its delicious Cajun cooking served in a cozy setting.

For incredible seafood and grilled dishes, head to Smoking Fins. This is one of the neighborhood's coolest eateries, and the Kickin' Fish Wrap will blow you away. The Lake House Kitchen and Tavern is open seven days a week and provides elegant American food.

Los Dos Portillos is one of the best Littleton restaurants, serving delicious Mexican meals, including enchiladas and burritos. Enjoy authentic Mexican delicacies created using family recipes passed down through generations. Other notable restaurants include Café Terracotta, Farm House Restaurant at Breckenridge Brewery, NoNo's Café, Toast Fine Food and Coffee, The Melting Pot, and Angelo's Taverna.

Things to Do

With quaint boutiques, cafes, and parks, Downtown Littleton has lots to do and see. There is always a fun event that highlights some distinct facets of the neighborhood, such as Weekends on Main in the summer and Second Saturdays, which feature local artisan sellers. Roxborough State Park features a visitor center for exploring, tree-lined hiking routes, and birdwatching and animal observation opportunities.

The Carpenter Peak Trail is a bit of a climb, but the vistas of the Rocky Mountains and Denver are worth it.

Chatfield State Park is one of Colorado's most popular state parks, with plenty of space for outdoor activities. Riding horses at the park stables, paddle boarding on the reservoir or a neighboring pond, fishing, or biking around the park are all options. The Denver Botanic Gardens includes Chatfield Farms. This working farm has walks, birdwatching spots among wildflowers, and a seasonal butterfly house. The region has additional historic structures, such as an 1874 schoolhouse, a 1918 dairy barn, and a silo.

Hudson Gardens has several gardens, including a rose garden, a vegetable garden, and a water garden. There's also a beekeeping section and a working outdoor model railway that youngsters will enjoy.

Robert Clement Park has much to offer. There are many playgrounds, including one recently renovated, a splash park, a skate park, and a walk that circles the lake. The amphitheater hosts live music on sunny summer evenings.
